Capoeira is a high impact cardio and strength training activity. We get a work out by practicing the form and through strength and flexibility training that prepares our bodies for the fun moves we want to learn. It not only challenges your physical ability, but can also challenge your mental and intellectual faculties as well because music and language are embedded into its foundation. During a Capoeira class, one can burn between 900-1200 calories because participants are always moving!
Capoeira kids programs are an excellent resource for families because they not only provide a physical activity but include social, music, and language learning opportunities. A Capoeira student is constantly being encouraged to learn the Portuguese language, to clap along with the beat, to try a new instrument, and most of all to have fun!
Adult classes – Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7p – 8p
Kids classes – Mondays and Wednesdays:
Ages 4-5 from 4:15 – 5:00 pm
Ages 6-11 from 5:15- 6:00 pm.
